HANGING BASKETS

Every May, Kelly creates dozens of hanging baskets and planters which she places all over the property. Here are a few that you will notice if you visit the Duck Inn in June.

One of our favourite baskets greets you as you come down the ramp 
from the Duck Inn to our docks and floating home.

These  hang from the Florida Room along the path to our floating home, where you Check In.

This pair are on the other side of our house, on either side of the Dining Room French Doors. You can see them from the cottages, and you walk by them on the way to your small private dock.

If you are here on a Thursday, you will probably see Kelly in the garden. Here she is, hiding among the vines as she clips them!

 

WILLOW THE CAT GETS HER SUMMER TRIM

Those of you who have met Willow the Cat know that her self image is tied to being a large, fluffy cat. Here are a few of our favorite pictures of her puffing herself out in some of her favorite places.

 Here she is, hiding behind a rhododendron.....

.....and under the Willow Tree.

She loves to preen in this bowl.

Her fluffiness fits perfectly in Allen's guitar case.

And occasionally she uses the bidet!

When her fur gets too long to be tamed by brushes and combs, we take her to the groomer for a shorter summer cut.

At first, she’s not happy with her new dainty shape 
and tries to assume her former fluffy glory!

She keeps looking for her winter coat.

And thinks, “At least I’ve still got my tail!”

Don’t worry, Willow…it will grow back sooner than you think!

SUMMER 2014 is here at the DUCK INN

The roses are starting to bloom, and the clematis are covering the garden pergolas with their gorgeous flowers.

This rose smothers our bedroom balcony in blossoms every year.

 

       We have over 50 clematis around the property....this Polish Spirit is in bloom now.
